Description:	The Company: Our client is a publicly held, profitable and rapidly growing company with offices around the world. They are leaders in the field of network automation and management, specifically Network Infrastructure Control; Network Change and Configuration Management (NCCM); IP Address Management (IPAM) and NDS/DHCP management. Their products can be found in more than 4,000 organizations, including the world's top 12 largest banks, 3 of the largest retailers, and 6 of the world's largest manufacturers. Job Description: This is a senior software engineering role responsible for detailed planning, system engineering, architecture development, design, coding and testing of network discovery, analysis and management features of the company’s Linux-based appliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating the core technologies that are at the heart of their business. Key Responsibilities: * Generate software designs and scope effort for new product features * Create software written in Perl and Ruby, with other languages on occasion * Develop automated unit tests for continuous integration and regression testing * Work closely with other engineers to accomplish shared objectives * Work with QA to help define effective system and performance test plans * Participate in architecture development to address long-term design objectives * Work with Customer Technical Support to diagnose and resolve field issues
Required skills:	Requirements: * 8+ years experience in software development with demonstrated experience in leading design efforts * Senior level knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, Perl, and SQL * Full software development life-cycle experience, with proven track record of shipping quality. software products on time * Results oriented, solid work ethic with excellent attention to detail and quality * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Four year degree in CS, CE, EE, or other technical field such as math, physics or engineering is required
Desired skills:	* Knowledge of MySQL and Ruby is a strong plus * Knowledge of networking is important; experience with network management and SNMP is a strong plus * Experience in working with offshore teams * Graduate Degree in CS, CE, EE
